FLU SHOTS FALL 2008 - 9/25/2008

We will begin to administer flu shots the first week of October. There is plenty of supply so there is no need to rush in. The optimum period for receiving the flu vaccine is October through November. In an effort to make this a smooth and efficient event we suggest coming in during the off peak hours. As most of you know we have busy times and hope not to have patients backed up waiting for their shot.

Best time for a quick shot:

Tuesdays 11am to 1:30pm (only day we do shots through lunchtime)
Other less busy times:

Mondays 1pm to 1:30 pm
Tuesdays 8am to 9am
Wednesday 7:30am to 9am 1pm to 1:30pm

If you cannot make one of the above times you can come during our normal shot hours which are listed below:

Monday 9am to 11:30am 1pm to 5pm
Tuesday 8am to 5pm
Wednesday 7:30am to 11:30am 1pm to 5:30pm
(no shots on Thursday)
Friday 9am to 11:30am 1pm to 5pm

WE WILL CONTINUE TO DO OUR BEST TO ADMINISTER ALLERGY SHOTS AND FLU SHOTS PROMPTLY AT ALL TIMES, BUT THERE WILL BE OCCASIONAL DELAYS IN THE “AFTER SCHOOL” TIME PERIODS.

We may be announcing approximately two Flu Shot Only times in October and November. Remember this is the best time of year to be vaccinated. Stay tuned for more information.

Patients who use referrals, please be sure you have a referral for the flu shot should you wish to get your shot here instead of your primary care office. This still is no guarantee of payment, as sometimes flu shots are not a covered benefit.

Family members (non-patients) may receive their flu shots here, remembering the following: 1. Must be over 4 years of age. 2. Must pay $35 cash at time of shot. 3. No receipt for insurance will be offered. We are not making formal records on family members and are unable to provide any documentation.
